What we collect, why, and who else sees it.

What we collect
Account data from Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and profile image. We never receive your Google password.
Content you upload: your source video, its transcript, and the clips generated from it.
Billing records: the Razorpay order and payment identifiers, the amount, and which credit pack you bought. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — those go directly to Razorpay.
Basic operational logs needed to run and debug the service.
Why we process it
To authenticate you, to run the clipping pipeline you asked for, to account for credits accurately, and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your video content to train our own models.
Who else processes your data
OpenAI — receives the audio track of your upload for transcription and the resulting transcript text for clip scoring.
Razorpay — processes payments and holds the payment instrument data we never touch.
Google — provides sign-in.
Our hosting and database providers, which store your account records and media.
How long we keep it
Source videos and rendered clips stay until you delete the job or close your account. Deleting a job removes its files and its clips.
Payment records are retained as long as tax law requires, even after account closure.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to [TODO: set NEXT_PUBLIC_CONTACT_EMAIL before going live]. You can delete your uploads yourself at any time from the dashboard.
Security
Uploaded media is served only through ownership-checked endpoints — a signed-in user cannot read another user's files. Payment signatures are verified server-side before any credit is granted.
No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you.
